Retro World

September has definitely been the month for Sew Cute Workshop to just go-go-go. A convention here and a fair there. Here’s an update of the latest in my convention/fair quest. My last convention was Retro World Expo. A place filled with arcade machines and old timey video games that you can think of. Besides old school video games to play, they also had some new ones, a live band, panels, and special guests. Retro World definitely inspired me to make a couple of pins. These are my original designs of arcade machines that I have available in my RedBubble Store … Continue reading Retro World

In An Unlikely Place

There is a secret cafe & bookstore that was built by the author of Diary of A Wimpy Kid – that place is An Unlikely Story.  An Unlikely Story holds treasures for all ages – lots of literature, great food, and all the possibilities of imagination. In the 2nd story of the bookstore holds many fun and exciting activities. Sew Cute Workshop was happy to participate in an Unlikely Story’s annual craft fair held on August 25, 2018. I crocheted a baby blanket and this cute little elephant doll for her … Continue reading An elephant to remember…

Kinda Con 3.0

Another year at Kinda!Con in their new location – Hyatt Regency Hotel in Morristown. This was Kinda!Con’s first year to host a 2 day event and relocation to accommodate more artists and vendors. Originally, they hosted the convention in Woodland Park’s American Legion post. It was a mini “kind of” convention and my second experience with conventions. The volunteers and staff were friendly and helpful being a first time convention. Since then, they have been very supportive and have improved. It’s surprising how long this convention has progressed. It is definitely a convention to check out to support dedicated artists/vendors … Continue reading Kinda Con 3.0
